Dr Ambrish Saxena is a journalist turned media educator. He wears so many hats – he is a prolific writer, eloquent orator, perky newscaster, an astute political analyst and an expert on public policy and governance. And above all, he is a life coach and mentor.

 

A journalist at heart Dr Saxena has played a long inning in news media having association with print, radio, TV and digital media. He is a bilingual journalist having proficient in English and Hindi and carrying experience of working on multi-platform.

 

Dr Saxena has been working both on the reporting and the editing side, occupying positions of News Editor, Executive Editor, Chief Reporter, Bureau Chief, Correspondent and Anchor. As reporter/correspondent his specialization has been crime, education and development.

Dr Saxena has remained associated with newspapers Amrit Prabhat [Amrit Bazar Patrika/Northern India Patrika Group] during 1979-1985, The Pioneer (1985-1990), Aaj (1990-1991), Our Leader (1991-1993), Newslead (1993-1995) and JVG Times (1996-1997).

 

RADIO

 

Dr Saxena has remained associated with many radio stations of All India Radio (AIR), prominently AIR Allahabad (1981-1985), AIR Varanasi (1985-1995) and AIR Delhi (1996-2021).

 

He has worked as News Editor/Anchor in Hindi News Room (HNR), News Services Division (NSD) of AIR during 1997-2001. He has been working as Anchor in Money Matters and Market Mantra programmes of AIR FM Gold since 2001. [Market Mantra is one of the most rated programmes of AIR on business and economy]

 

TELEVISION

 

Dr Saxena has worked as correspondent with PARAKH, India’s first Hindi TV News Magazine on Doordarshan during 1991-1992.  It was a TV news magazine steered by noted journalist Vinod Dua.

 

DIGITAL

 

Dr Saxena conceived a daily news capsule UNO – Unfolding News Outlook in 2019 and produced 75 episodes of this programme as News Editor and Anchor. This news capsule was targeted to youth and was broadcast on DME TV (YouTube).

He anchored a chat show ‘face2face’ in 2020 (23 episodes) for DME TV (YouTube). He also interviewed eminent personalities in ‘DME Dialogue’ during 2018-2020 (20 episodes) for DME TV (YouTube).
