ASSOCIATION WITH GURU GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY - GGSIPU

Dr Ambrish Saxena has been associated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi right from its inception. He conceptualized and set up the Centre for Media Studies – CMS (presently University School of Mass Communication) on the Kashmere Gate campus of the university in 2006. He launched 3 academic programmes and run this centre during its formative years.

Dr Saxena has been associated with 3 affiliated colleges of this university – Madhubala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media – MBICEM, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies – VIPS and Delhi Metropolitan Education – DME at different points of time.

 

I. GGSIPU CAMPUS [2006/2007 – 2010]

Consultant/Professor In-charge at Centre for Media Studies (CMS), Kashmere Gate campus – Educational administration and other responsibilities as assigned by GGSIP University

Contributed actively in the syllabus making and periodic revision of BMC/BJMC syllabus in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005

Discharged responsibility for NAAC accreditation of the University (2007)

  1. Coordinator of Academic Audit Cell:

Coordinating Officer of Academic Audit Cell of the University (2008-2010) – visited various colleges as part of this responsibility

Admission Officer for various academic programmes of the University (2003-2010)

  1. Centre Superintendent (Exam Conduct):

Examination Centre Superintendent for the conduct of University Examination (2004-2007)

  1. Centre Superintendent (Evaluation):

Deputy Centre Superintendent/Centre Superintendent at the Evaluation Centre in the University (2005-2008)

  1. Studio setup:

Designed and got built Video Studio and Audio Studio on the campus (2006-2008)

  1. Production of Studio based programmes, fiction and documentaries:

Got several films produced during 2006 – 2010

Fiction films were shot on the university campus and outside locations

Documentaries also involved shooting at several outside locations

  1. Produced full-length students feature film:

Got 105-minute feature film HANTAA with the involvement of about 100 students

The shooting of the film was held at outside location in a village of Meerut for 5 days

This film was screened twice on the university campus

It was also accepted for screening at several film festivals acrodd India

  1. Organised film festival ABOVE THE LINE in the studio :

Film screenings of the film produced by the students was conducted in this film festival

  1. Syllabus Making Committee Member (PG):

Actively involved for about four years, in course designing, syllabus making and periodic revision of syllabus of five PG programmes (2006-2010)
