Dr Saxena has conceived and organized international film festivals like Cinephile International Film Festival in 2014 and Cineaste International Film Festival of India – CIFFI in 2019 and 2020.

 

CINEPHILE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL – 2014

 

Festival Director of Cinephile International Film Festival  organised by School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), New Delhi [2014]

  • Screening of 75 films during three days of the festival
  • Conduct of 2 Master Classes with large participation
  • Participation of filmmakers of more than 15 countries
  • Special screening of films from Belgium, Spain and UK

 

CINEASTE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF INDIA – CIFFI 2019

 

Festival Director of CIFFI along with Dr. Vikrant Kishore as the festival was organized jointly by Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME) and Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia

  • Screening of 81 films (selected from 140 films received) drawn from different continents during 4 days of the festival – April 17 to 20
  • Sessions: 4 curate sessions, 2 master classes, 3 workshops and 2 panel discussions
  • Participation of Australia based filmmaker and critic Anupam Sharma and Australiam filmmaker Saara Lamberg (Director of Innuendo) in different sessions of the festival
  • Star attraction: Khalid Mohamed, the intellectual filmmaker and Muzamil Bhawani, a rising actor of Bollywood
  • Interviewed one of the most celebrated actor and director of Bollywood Tigmanshu Dhulia who was Chief Guest in this festival
